From A Patron and More
I found your web-site today and I wanted to say hello and to tell
you that I practically lived at that park summers when i was a kid.
My dad is Dub Adams. My sister and I spent many summers there and
were even present when the ride demonstrations happened and the
park was sold. We were possibly some of the last people to ride the
Hammer Head and the Tornado before the rides were sold, dismantled
and moved to their new homes around the country.
I learned to swim in that pool. Bill, a lifeguard was my coach. It
was brutal on a kid to swim an olympic size pool!
I would love to share more memories if you are still collecting
stories. I will ask people I know to go see your site, and I will
be sure and tell my dad about it. He may have some things to add.
Sincerely,
Debalene Endsley known then as...
"Debbie Adams"
