I read the article about Wedgewood in the December 5, 2007 issue
of the The Oklahoman. I believe I attended the park only once in the
late sixties. I had a lot of fun. I had read an article about the park a
few years ago, which jogged my memory of the good times. But that
is all gone now, OKC has changed so much over the last 60 years.
I bought my second home near NW Expressway and Independence.
We use to go the drive-in movie and later go bowling across the street,
but all of that is gone now. The drive-in movie theatre is now where
the Marriott Hotel is situated, and the bowling alley is a where a row
of restaurants are located. Someone who has been away from the
OKC area for the past 40 years or so would not recognize NW Highway.
Thanks for the Memories,
